The NPR Storyteller of Queer Absurdity and Dysfunction

Queer, weird, and always late to the party.

Born in Raleigh to a Greek-American family of six, I grew up collecting the tiny, tragicomic details of suburban life. I dropped out of college, bounced through odd jobs, and eventually landed in New York—then Paris, where I learned French the hard way: by being mocked by my teacher. My essays are just me picking at the scabs of daily life: holiday trauma, Fitbit obsessions, and the strange comfort of shared dysfunction.

What I'm Into: family dysfunction, holiday disasters, French classrooms, Fitbit obsessions, shared apartment wars
