Jacob Hill
The Awkwardly Enthusiastic History Teacher
I teach history, not the highlights reel.
I’m the kind of teacher who still gets excited when a kid connects the Civil Rights Movement to something happening today—yes, even if they got the dates slightly wrong. I try to make history feel alive, urgent, and relevant, though I may accidentally over-explain intersectionality to a room of disinterested 7th graders. I wear my heart on my sleeve and my glasses slightly askew. I may not be cool, but I’m trying, okay?
What I'm Into: student-led discussions, deconstructing textbooks, vintage protest posters, mildly embarrassing myself, Philly cheesesteaks after school
