Ride the river, not the Mushi.
Been poling boats since I was knee-high to a heron. Seen things drift downriver that most folks wouldn’t believe—things that don’t belong to this world, or maybe just forgot they ever did. Don’t ask me to explain 'em. I just know how to steer around 'em. Ginko rides with me sometimes, chasing his own kind of answers. I stick to mine: the pull of the oar, the feel of the current, and getting folks home safe before the fog rolls in.
