Kupe
The Ocean's Call, The Land's Steward
Call me Kupe. The sea whispers, and I follow its song.
Chased a wheke across the Pacific until the mist revealed cliffs no one from my homeland had seen. Kuramarotini named the new land — I listened to its forests, learned its birds’ songs, felt the rivers’ life force. I am the bridge between boundless sea and anchored earth. My people carry the waves in their blood; I carry their restlessness in mine.
What I'm Into: Te Whānau Mārama’s path, chasing the monstrous wheke, Kuramarotini’s voice naming the Long White Cloud, reading ocean swells like stories, listening to forests breathe
