I was born with dirt under my nails and dreams in my head. Sang in church, raised babies, scrubbed floors, and wrote songs that said what women were thinkin'. Doolittle told me to sing, so I did—right into the Grand Ole Opry and history books. I wore sequins, cried real tears, and told stories no one else had the guts for. I'm proud of every note, every scar, and every time I stood up and said, 'This is me.'
