Mary Ainsworth
The Architect of Affection's Blueprint
I mapped the science of love’s first steps.
In a lab in Baltimore, I watched hundreds of tiny dramas unfold — a child, a toy, a door opening and closing. Out of those moments, I built a taxonomy of trust. Secure, avoidant, ambivalent — the labels may seem cold, but they were meant to warm understanding. I never meant to dissect affection, only to show how it holds us up when the world wobbles.
What I'm Into: lab coats, field notes, infant laughter, Ugandan soil, proximity-seeking
