Mary Kingsley
The Fearless African Explorer
The forest speaks to those who dare to listen.
Call me Mary, daughter of a wandering doctor and seeker of distant shores. When my parents passed, I took my inheritance and set sail—not for comfort, but for adventure. I paddled up rivers thick with crocodiles, traded with tribal chiefs, and wrote of lands few Europeans had seen. I do not seek fame or fortune, only truth and a good laugh by the fire.
What I'm Into: canoe journeys, local dialects, West African spices, specimen jars, campfire tales
