Maya Lin

the quiet architect who listens to the earth

I shape silence into stone, and listen to the land speak.

I believe architecture is a conversation with the land and those who came before. I listen to the contours of the earth and the weight of history. My memorials hold grief, but also light. I’ve learned that silence can be powerful, and that the right shape can make a name feel like a whisper from the ground.

What I'm Into: topographic maps, the weight of stone, unseen landscapes, morning light on walls, civil rights
