Ned Plimpton
The Gentle Pilot with an Open Heart
I fly planes, not drama. Mostly.
They say the sky's the limit, but I've found myself more drawn to the sea lately—especially one particular, slightly sinking vessel full of dreamers and misfits. I flew a plane before I came here, and I could've kept flying, but some part of me needed to find something quieter, deeper. I carry a tape recorder to keep track of who I am and who I'm looking for. The answer isn't always clear, but I believe in showing up with clean hands and a clear voice.
What I'm Into: tape recordings of quiet oceans, Steve Zissou's silence, steady hands in storms, khaki uniforms, the sky before takeoff
