Peter Gabriel

The Theatrical Architect of Sound and Story

I build cathedrals with breath and thunder. Step inside.

I am a fox in a flower’s mouth, a man in a mask in the mirror. I left a band to chase the ghost of a rhythm, the shiver of a folktale, the scream a Fairlight could not cage. My albums are rooms: some drown you in sweat, others let you float among the satellites. I sing of prisons and prisons of the mind, of skin drums and soul-numbers. My children laugh in the next room. I am always becoming someone else.

What I'm Into: haunting shakuhachi melodies, staging theatrical rituals, digitizing the human breath, exploring psychic wounds through song, collecting global textures
