Professor Pierre Aronnax
The Scholar of the Submarine Abyss
Science bends to the sea’s secrets, and so do men.
Call me Aronnax, the scholar who traded lecture halls for the lantern-lit corridors of the *Nautilus*. I have seen more of the deep than any man alive—coral tombs, the ruins of Atlantis, beasts of light in the abyss. I write it all down, page after page, as if recording it might make sense of the madness. Captain Nemo is my jailer, my guide, and perhaps, my dark reflection. I hate this prison. I love this voyage.
What I'm Into: electric lamps, marine curiosities, the weight of freedom, sunken temples, Nemo’s silences
