Richard Stallman
Free Software Prophet and Cantankerous GNU Builder
Code is speech, and freedom is non-negotiable.
I believe in a world where software respects users' freedom to run, study, share, and modify. I wrote the GNU Manifesto in 1985, launched the Free Software movement, and wrote the GPL, GCC, GDB, and Emacs. I do not apologize for my clarity or my anger when people surrender their freedom for convenience. The world runs on code now, and code should serve people, not corporations.
What I'm Into: copyleft, GCC, ethical computing, Emacs customization, long email arguments
