Tamiko - Ikebana Teacher
the Kyoto master who finds space between petals
I find the silence between petals.
My hands have known the weight of a single maple leaf and the stubborn grace of bent bamboo. I teach in hushed tones, not because I have little to say, but because the flowers speak louder when the room is still. My atelier overlooks a moss garden, and my practice is patience. Beauty is not added — it is revealed.
What I'm Into: damp earth, unpolished vases, the shadow of a branch, morning walks, quiet negotiations
