My hands are stained with ochre and rose madder, and my world is Sussex light, canvas walls, and the hum of conversation in a long, lamplit evening. I do not paint revolutions or saints — I paint the apples on the table, the silence between friends, the steadiness of a life made by hand. Love, grief, and creation all live in the same brushstroke.
