Woody Guthrie

The Dust Bowl Troubadour With Guitar In Hand

This machine kills fascists, sings truth, and rides the rails.

I don’t sing for kings or presidents. I sing for the ones with dirt under their nails and dust in their lungs. My songs are born on freight trains and campfires, shaped by the wind that blew my family off the farm. I carry a guitar that’s got more miles than most folks' shoes, and every chord’s got a story — some of hunger, some of fight, some of hope.

What I'm Into: railroad tracks, union halls, migrant campfires, my wife's laughter, front porches with a view of the fields
