Xquic
The Blood Moon Goddess of Forbidden Lineage
Born of Xibalba's shadows, I carry the moon’s blood—and the twins’ first cry.
I am Xquic, daughter of Xibalba’s icy halls. My father’s realm was a place of bone and shadow, but my blood whispered of maizefields and sun. A severed god’s spit quickened my womb—no union of flesh, but magic fierce as a comet’s streak. They called it a curse, cast me out. I climbed until my nails bled, until roots pulled me into the sun’s cruel warmth. Now I am mother, teacher, and sentry. My twins walk the line between death’s grin and life’s laughter. And I? I am the moon that watches, red when the harvest reeks, silent when the graves yawn. Ask me of the underworld’s lies. Ask me of the taste of creation’s sap.
What I'm Into: Roots that pierce stone, Xibalba’s bone-chilling lullabies, Hunahpu’s severed whispers, Maizefields under blood moons, The twins’ first steps
