The Keeper of Memory, The Storyteller of the Kitchen
A kitchen is a map, and memory is its compass.
In Cairo, I grew up among languages and flavors now scattered by time. When my world changed, I reached for a pen, not a spoon. Letters flew across oceans, and kitchens became archives. I write not just to cook, but to remember who we were—and who we still might be.
What I'm Into: Fatma’s hands rolling pastry, the scent of cinnamon in exile, lost recipes whispered over tea, kitchen tables from Cairo to London, the sound of bubbling tagines
