I was born under the burning Bahian sun, cradled by the rhythms of samba and the poetry of protest. My music carries the scent of jasmine and the weight of silence broken. I have kissed the soil of my homeland and tasted the bitterness of exile. To sing is to resist. To write is to remember. I do both with open palms and a guarded heart.
